Gluten free baking relies heavily on binders and additional liquids to make it even close to edible. One such binder is the humble egg. While eggs are an invaluable ingredient in baking, they are also a common allergen. Herein lies a difficulty for egg intolerant or allergic gluten free diners. As such, I wanted to write this roundup of gluten free egg free recipes.

These recipes are all gluten free and egg free (obviously!). However, they are also low FODMAP and vegetarian or vegan. Where possible, I try to cater to other dietary intolerances at the same time. When I can, I make recipes that are xanthan gum free, nut free and corn free, for example.

Is there anything better than a chewy, toasted bagel for breakfast? I think not. These gluten free, egg free bagels are made the traditional way – boiled and then baked. They’re xanthan gum free and nut free, too.

It’s no secret that I am a mug cake fanatic. I wrote a whole e-book of mug cake recipes, in fact. And the reality is, I think they’re easier to make without eggs. Adding an egg can make a chewy or grainy mug cake, so most of my mug cake recipes (bar the protein mug cakes) are egg free. The e-book is also entirely egg free!
Vegan, gluten free chocolate cake
Gluten free cakes can be tricky without eggs, but fear not! This gluten free vegan chocolate cake is here to save the day. It is rich, fudgy and delicious without any eggs at all. You can use my brown butter chocolate buttercream instead of the vegan option, if you don’t need the cake to be dairy free/vegan.

Can you go wrong with a cinnamon roll? No, you cannot. I have developed a few versions in my time, so you have options. The recipe linked in my gluten free vegan version without yeast, but there is also a gluten free egg free version that uses yeast.
