I get seasonal envy every year. When the Northern hemisphere has nice tomatoes, I long for summer. When they start making pies? I want to make pies. So today, I’m doing what I want and making a pie. A gluten free greens pie with feta, pine nuts, and an optional but fun intricate pie top.…

When it transpired that the tree on my balcony was full of cherries (and not ‘baby nectarine buds’ as I had believed) I knew pavlova was the order of the day. I’ve wanted to make a festive berry pavlova in time for Christmas for about 5 years in a row now. Turns out I’m as…

Radicchio salad with blue cheese and honey cinnamon walnuts
All, FODMAP friendly, Gluten free, Grain free, Recipes, SIBO bi-phasic stage 2, Vegetarian

It has taken me 29 years to realise that simple really is best. I’ve neglected developing salad recipes for years, too enticed by the challenge of the baked good or the intricate lasagne. Gluten-free beetroot pasta dough (FODMAP friendly)
FODMAP friendly, Gluten free, Main, Recipes, Vegetarian

If you’ve been watching my Instagram stories, you’ll probably know that I’ve been on an elemental diet of late. An elemental diet, for the uninitiated, is basically a hospital style pre-digested formula that you sip instead of ingest through a tube. Being unable to eat has meant I’m unable to work, and while Netflix and…

You all know by now that I am a total pesto fiend. If there’s a way to incorporate pesto into food, I will do it. When there’s an opportunity to work on a new pesto recipe, consider me there. So, today I would like to extol the virtues of my new favourite: FODMAP friendly kale…

Homemade gluten free ravioli with brown butter and sage (FODMAP friendly, vegetarian)

Question? Is there anything better than homemade gluten free ravioli? Answer: yes. Homemade gluten free ravioli with brown butter, sage, and a low lactose spinach ricotta filling. Heaven on a plate.  Admittedly, homemade pasta making does take time. Recipes like these are best for an afternoon at home as opposed to a weeknight. That said,…
