I have a lot of sympathy for those of us who have a food intolerance or allergy, but even more sympathy for those of us who have more than one at once. Navigating multiple allergies or intolerances can be extremely tough. With this in mind, I wanted to write this roundup of gluten free dairy free recipes.

Gluten free dairy free recipes

These recipes are all gluten free and dairy free. However, there are plenty of options and recipes that cater to other niche intolerances or allergies, too. These include egg free recipes, nut free recipes, xanthan gum free recipes and corn free recipes.

Most of my recipes are vegetarian or vegan and low FODMAP, too. I hope that the breadth of allergens these recipes cater for are helpful to people and families navigating multiple requirements.

Vegan gluten free protein pancakes

These protein pancakes are made with dairy free/vegan protein to ensure the entire recipe is dairy free. They’re a filling and delicious breakfast to get you fuelled for the day ahead.

Gluten free porridge

Oats aren’t considered gluten free in Australia, so I developed this gluten free porridge using rice flakes. I promise, once they’re cooked they taste perfectly oat-like. Make sure you use dairy free milk to keep this recipe dairy free. There’s a carrot cake version, too.

Gluten free vegan hot cross buns

A seasonal recipe, sure, but doesn’t everybody love a hot cross bun? These beauties are gluten free and vegan, so there’s no need to worry about dairy. Do use dairy free chocolate chips if you make a choc chip version, though.

Gluten free overnight ‘oats’

Like my aforementioned gluten free porridge, these overnight ‘oats’ are made with rice flakes. Use plant based dairy to ensure this recipe is dairy free as well as gluten free.

Gluten free buckwheat pancakes

These buckwheat pancakes are made with 100% buckwheat flour. They use eggs, yoghurt and milk for binding and taste. Make sure you use plant based yoghurt and milk to keep these pancakes dairy free. The recipe is in my first buckwheat e-book.

100% buckwheat sourdough bread

This buckwheat sourdough is made from 100% buckwheat flour – no starches, nuts or any other flours. It is xanthan gum free, dairy free/vegan and a recipe in my second buckwheat e-book.

Gluten free vegan high protein bread

A filling and delicious loaf that uses cannellini beans (yes!) buckwheat flour and hemp seeds for a bread that provides around 10g protein per slice. 2 slices + some peanut butter and you’re setting yourself up nicely for the morning.

Gluten free quinoa wraps

These quinoa wraps are the sibling recipe to my original buckwheat wrap recipe and my newer teff wrap recipe. They are made from 100% quinoa flour and use psyllium husk for binding (no xanthan gum required). Use dairy free yoghurt in the wraps to ensure they remain both gluten free and dairy free.

These bagels are one of my favourite easy recipes. They are xanthan gum free, nut free and vegan with an alternate egg wash. The dream gluten free dairy free lunch? A bagel with a smear of dairy free cream cheese.

Low FODMAP chilli oil noodles

One for the work from home girlies (or not, honestly). These low FODMAP chilli oil noodles are offensively good for how quickly they come together. I love to use tahini in there for a hit of creaminess to balance out the chilli. Use gluten free noodles or pasta to keep this dish gluten free.

Low FODMAP peanut butter noodle stir fry

Sometimes I begrudgingly eat my vegetables, but not when it comes to this peanut butter stir fry. It’s full of veg, tofu and gluten free noodles, with a low FODMAP sauce that’s so good I forget I’m eating my greens.

I am OBSESSED with these sausages and I love having them in the fridge for a snack. They are gluten free, nut and grain free, weird ingredient free and, of course, dairy free.

Gluten free vegan blueberry muffins

Blueberry muffins are the superior muffins as far as I’m concerned. These beauties are gluten free, using naught but a single flour. They are also dairy free, as the recipe was originally designed to be vegan. Bonus(es)? They’re also xanthan gum free and egg free.

Low FODMAP dark bark bites

When the date bark trend hit TikTok, I knew I needed to make my own low FODMAP version. This recipe is made in little bites to ensure they remain low FODMAP and low fructose. Use dairy free dark chocolate (I like Lindt 70%) to ensure these remain dairy free.

Gluten free peanut butter cookies (or tahini cookies)

3 ingredients – peanut butter, maple syrup and baking powder – are all that are required for these delicious easy cookies. You can add mix ins as you see fit or keep them plain. For those with a peanut allergy, try my tahini version instead.

This gluten free egg pasta without xanthan gum is my newest pride and joy. It’s a delicious homemade egg pasta recipe that goes so perfectly with my low FODMAP vegan tofu bolognese. Together, they’re dairy free, gluten free and low FODMAP heaven.

Low FODMAP vegetarian or vegan Pad Thai

When I went to Thailand I ate almost exclusively Pad Thai. I know that’s a pleb move but I adore the dish so much that I wanted to find the best version I possibly could. My recipe is a low FODMAP and vegetarian or vegan take on the classic. It is naturally dairy free and made gluten free with a few easy swaps.

I’m very proud of this vegan gluten free chocolate cake recipe. It took me a while to nail down, but I’m so happy with the end result. It is xanthan gum free and uses a simple mix of gluten free flours. Have your (gluten free dairy free) cake and eat it too.

Any roundup is not complete without a delicious chocolate treat. These gluten free brownie cookies fit that bill and then some. They are vegan and thus dairy free and egg free, not that you’d know it. They are also xanthan gum free and nut free, so everyone can enjoy them.

Gluten free vegan choc chip cookies

I’ve developed a gluten free vegan choc chip cookie recipe before, but it required a mixer. I wanted to post a simpler version that everybody could make, regardless of available equipment. The result? These simple cookies that are dairy free, xanthan gum free and nut free.
