As someone with a whole host of intolerances and dietary requirements, I know how hard it can be to find options that suit multiple needs. Oftentimes gluten free baking relies on eggs, dairy, nuts and/or xanthan to hold everything together, which can make it even more difficult. I wanted to write up this recipe roundup of my favourite gluten dairy egg free recipes on my website. Hopefully it is helpful in trying to navigate multiple dietary requirements at once.
Gluten dairy egg free recipes
This recipe roundup includes recipes for every meal – breakfast, snacks, lunch, dinner, dessert and even ice creams. I want to make sure you have every meal covered! Where applicable, the roundup also includes notes where recipes are also xanthan gum free and nut free. There are also plenty of low FODMAP recipes in here, as I develop a lot of low FODMAP recipes.
Gluten dairy egg free breakfast recipes
Gluten free buckwheat bread
Never have I ever: written a recipe roundup without this buckwheat bread recipe. It is my absolute favourite recipe and works a charm every single time. The bread is gluten free, dairy free, egg free, xanthan gum free and nut free.
It uses light buckwheat flour and a small amount of tapioca flour for an elastic and delicious crumb. I also have a yeast free version of the bread if yeast is an issue for you. I like to top mine with gluten free Vegemite, avocado and hemp seeds.
Gluten free porridge using rice flakes
In Australia (where I live), oats aren’t considered gluten free. They contain a protein called avenin that is similar to gluten, and Coeliac Australia says there’s not enough information to determine if coeliacs react to avenin in the same way they do to gluten.
So! This gluten free porridge uses rice flakes instead of oats. It’s thick, warming and cosy like original porridge – all without the oats. Use a dairy free milk and omit the optional egg for protein to ensure this porridges remains gluten, egg and dairy free.
Gluten free granola (low FODMAP option)
This recipe is another oat free recipe that uses rice flakes for a gluten free alternative. They are bound together with a combination of maple syrup, rice malt syrup and peanut butter to form deliciously chewy clusters of gluten free granola. It is naturally egg and dairy free, vegan and xanthan gum free. I have also developed a low FODMAP version for people with FODMAP constraints.
Gluten free buckwheat muffins
For a breakfast on the go, look no further than these delicious and easy buckwheat muffins. They are naturally egg free and easily dairy free with your choice of dairy free yoghurt and milk. I like to add blueberries, but you can add whichever mix-ins you prefer.
With the right dairy free yoghurt and milk, these muffins are also xanthan gum free and nut free.
Gluten and egg free banana pancakes
These delicious gluten free banana pancakes use rice flour and cassava flour to form a chewy and delicious pancake base. They use a bit of sweetener, a lot of banana and a bit of milk (dairy free works a treat). A great way to use up ripe bananas that is also nut free, xanthan gum free and can be low FODMAP, too.
Vegan gluten free hot cross bun loaf
If a cinnamon swirl loaf was crossed with hot cross buns, this would be the result. This loaf is gluten free, dairy free, egg free and vegan. It is also xanthan gum free and nut free. The perfect breakfast treat for cooler mornings, it also has a low FODMAP threshold.

The recipe makes 6, but you can easily use the base recipe of my gluten free banana chocolate chip muffin recipe for a double batch.
Low FODMAP date bark bites
I know that the date bark has been done, but I wanted to whip up this low fructose version for people on the low FODMAP diet. It uses a FODMAP friendly quantity of regular dates to keep things in check. Use a good quality dairy free chocolate to keep this snack dairy free.
Blended chocolate chia pudding
This is my new favourite high fibre snack and it couldn’t be easier to make. Use dairy free milk for a dairy free, gluten free and egg free snack that tastes like a chocolate Yogo.

Gluten dairy egg free lunch recipes
Gluten free buckwheat wraps
I kid you not, I constantly have a stash of these wraps in my freezer. They make for an excellent protein and salad lunch in a hurry and they’re flawlessly flexible while doing it. They reheat really well, so they’re perfect as an emergency ‘fridge is empty’ lunch. Use dairy free plain yoghurt (I use coconut yoghurt) to keep these dairy free as well as egg free and gluten free.
Note: if you don’t like buckwheat, you still have options! I have a teff wrap recipe, a quinoa wrap recipe and a lighter rice flour and tapioca or cassava flour wrap (which tastes just like a regular wheat wrap to me).
Gluten free vegan bagels
These deliciously chewy gluten free vegan bagels are made the traditional way – boiled and then baked. They are naturally dairy free, xanthan gum free and nut free, using psyllium husk and a scald for that classic bagel chew.
They make the perfect foil for a lunch on the go using your favourite bagel toppings.
Gluten free, low FODMAP chilli oil noodles
For lunch in a hurry, it absolutely has to be these incredibly good chilli oil noodles. They are low FODMAP, gluten free, dairy free and easily nut free (omit the optional peanut butter or tahini). I use store bought gluten free spaghetti to make it quick and easy – be sure to choose a dried brand without eggs to keep it egg free as well.
Low FODMAP falafels
These DELICIOUS little green falafel are gluten free, vegan, egg free – the works. They use edamame and canned chickpeas (or all edamame) to keep the FODMAP threshold down. I love having a batch of these to throw in salads, wraps, or whatever else I fancy during the week. You could also make a low FODMAP falafel bowl by omitting the feta and using coconut yoghurt in the tzatziki.
Low FODMAP vegan chilli
There is truly nothing better than a giant tub of vegan chilli in the fridge. The world is your oyster: you can make chilli bowls, enchiladas, nachos, tacos – or eat it straight out of the container. For lunch purposes, I highly suggest meal prepping some chilli bowls with corn chips, salad and some dairy free sour cream or yoghurt.
Low FODMAP Nam Khao (crispy rice salad)
Sometimes, you just need to have a crispy rice salad. This one is low FODMAP, jam packed with flavour and naturally gluten dairy egg free. If the flavour profile isn’t your own, I also have a recipe for a crispy rice sushi salad that uses edamame for some extra protein.

Pad Thai is my FAVOURITE dish in the world, so I had to include it here. This recipe is low FODMAP so it is allium free. It is also gluten free and uses gluten free Tamari or soy as well as naturally gluten free rice noodles. Omit the optional eggs to ensure this dish is egg free as well.
Gluten free vegan lasagne (low FODMAP)
This lasagne is one of my favourite recipes when catering to multiple dietary requirements. It is gluten free, egg free, dairy free and super filling thanks to the tofu ‘mince meat’ filling. Make sure the lasagne sheets don’t contain any egg to ensure it is egg free. Your best bet is to get dried ones and to check the label for eggs.
