Savoury gluten free Christmas recipes
Gluten free focaccia
A focaccia is always at home on the festive table, which is why I am starting this collection with my gluten free focaccia recipe. It is fluffy, light and delicious yet also xanthan gum free and completely vegan.

Gluten free arancini (low FODMAP)
Is there a better festive treat than an arancini? I say no. These gluten free arancini are egg free and use any of my low FODMAP risotto recipes so they are low FODMAP as well.

Gluten free Yorkshire puddings
My Dad is from Yorkshire so I grew up eating Yorkshire puddings on many a special occasion. These delicious Yorkshire puds are xanthan gum free and super low key to make.

Gluten free low FODMAP stuffed pumpkins
If you’re looking for a delicious gluten free vegetarian Christmas main, look no further! This is a recipe I developed for The Guardian and IGA. It uses a gluten free, low FODMAP stuffing base which I could eat by the truckload.

Gluten free nut loaf
A lower FODMAP and gluten free nut loaf that is full of flavour and makes for a delicious vegetarian main dish.

Low FODMAP gluten free vegan nut loaf (without nuts)
I couldn’t let my vegan friends miss out! This vegan meatloaf is gluten free, low FODMAP and uses absolutely no nuts.

Gluten free rough puff pastry
A good pastry recipe is essential over the festive season and this one is my favourite. It is much simpler to make than a traditional puff pastry but has so many gorgeous flaky layers.

Gluten free pumpkin, sage and goat’s cheese tart
All of the flavours I love rolled into one delicious tart! Use the gluten free rough puff pastry and you’ve got yourself a stunning gluten free vegetarian main dish.

Gluten free vegetarian moussaka (low FODMAP)
This delicious gluten free vegetarian moussaka uses my forever favourite tofu mince to make a ‘meaty’ and protein packed filling. If you can find some smoked mozzarella, it takes the béchamel to another level.

Vegan, gluten free and low FODMAP lasagne
This recipe is one of my favourites because of how many diets it can cater to while still being absolutely delicious.

Gluten free egg pasta without xanthan gum
Xanthan gum doesn’t agree with everyone and it can be made with corn which is a common allergen. I developed this gluten free egg pasta recipe to be made without xanthan gum so that everyone can enjoy it.

Gluten free Mac and cheese (low FODMAP)
I mean, do I need to say more here?

Gluten free potato gnocchi
This simple gluten free potato gnocchi is xanthan gum free and nut free. It uses a short list of ingredients for a delicious end result.

Gluten free vegan gravy
No Christmas table is complete without gravy! This version is not only gluten free but also vegan and low FODMAP. It is one of my favourite things to eat over the festive season.

Sweet gluten free Christmas recipes
Gluten free gingerbread cookies
Any roundup of gluten free Christmas recipes is incomplete without some gingerbread! This recipe is easy and endlessly customisable for a whole host of different diets.

Gluten free shortbread cookies
If I had to choose one cookie over Christmas, it would be shortbread. Buttery, rich and generally irresistible, this gluten free recipe has lots of options. I have tested all sorts of starches for a corn free option and the recipe is naturally xanthan gum free. The chocolate chip version pictured is easy to adapt from the recipe below but I have also written it up here.

Gluten free vegan brownie cookies
Sometimes you just need a crowd pleaser and this is one of those recipes. Gluten free, xanthan gum free, egg and dairy free as well as nut free – many bases covered.

Gluten free sugar cookies
I am newer to sugar cookies, but now I wonder what took me so long! Simple and delicious, these gluten free sugar cookies can be used for decorating or just for eating.

Gluten free low FODMAP Christmas pudding
I hate to play favourites, but this low FODMAP Christmas pudding is one of my proudest achievements. It uses candied pumpkin instead of fruit for a lower fructose, lower FODMAP option.

Gluten free low FODMAP mince pies
Naturally, my candied pumpkin fruit mince inspired me to make these gluten free, low FODMAP mince pies. They are buttery, delicious little morsels that just happen to work well for a number of different dietary requirements.

Lactose free berry curd pavlova
I know that pavlova is naturally gluten free, but I wouldn’t be a good Australian if I didn’t include a recipe in a festive roundup. This recipe utilises a dairy free berry curd which happens to use all the egg yolks from the pavlova making.

Gluten free chocolate berry roulade
Another recipe I developed for The Guardian and IGA, this gorgeous roulade is the perfect Christmas dessert. Gluten free, nut free and easily low FODMAP, this stunning treat is as delicious as it looks.

Gluten free cheesecake
This recipe uses a gluten free cheesecake base which we’re making from scratch. Store bought biscuits cost an arm and a leg these days, so we’re DIYing for a delicious and easy result. If you use lactose free cream cheese, this cheesecake is also low FODMAP. And for those with an egg allergy, I have an eggless version as well.

Lactose free creme caramel
Naturally gluten free, yes, but still worth including in any Christmas roundup. This gorgeous creme caramel is a dessert everyone will love and it looks very impressive. This recipe uses lactose free dairy for a lactose free, low FODMAP treat.

Gluten free lactose free Tiramisu
Not much can beat the combination of cream, sugar, chocolate and coffee. Tiramisu is one of my favourite desserts and this version is secretly gluten free and low FODMAP.

Gluten free pistachio Tiramisu
Tiramisu is good, but pistachio Tiramisu? Arguably even better. This is a perfect festive treat because pistachios and pistachio paste will set you back a small mortgage 🙂

Gluten free yuzu Tiramisu
A fresh, light and delicious gluten free Tiramisu with lemony flavours and the distinct twang of yuzu. A simple yet dreamy dessert, perfect for a Southern Hemisphere Christmas.

Gluten free cinnamon rolls
Ending on a high note with these delicious cinnamon rolls that do it all! They are gluten free, xanthan gum free, nut free, vegan AND yeast free. Phew. A perfect Christmas treat or even a breakfast on Christmas morning.
