Personally, I find breakfast to be the hardest meal of the day to cater for. With all my dietary requirements, it can be difficult to find something that is filling and agreeable to my digestion. I have a lot of empathy for people like myself with multiple dietary requirements. As such, today’s roundup focuses on vegan gluten free breakfast recipes.

These breakfast recipes are all gluten free, vegan and low FODMAP. Where possible, I also try to include other dietary requirements, such as corn free or soy free options.

The breakfast recipes encompass all sorts of dishes. There are a number of bread recipes, as well as bars, porridge, even cinnamon rolls.

My hope is that you will find a recipe that you love and that works for all your dietary needs.

Vegan gluten free bagels

Everybody loves a bagel, and these bagels love everybody back. They’re gluten free, vegan, low FODMAP, xanthan gum free, nut free and soy/corn free, too. Something for everyone!

Vegan gluten free banana bread

Banana bread is packed with fruit, and isn’t that what breakfast is all about? This version is vegan and gluten free, but I have a vegan 100% buckwheat flour banana bread in my second buckwheat e-book, too.

Gluten free vegan granola (oat free)

This easy and delicious granola recipe is oat free, gluten free, vegan and low FODMAP. You can use any mix of nuts you prefer if you don’t need it to be low FODMAP, however.

Gluten free granola bars

Where there’s granola, there needs to be granola bars, right? These bars are vegan, oat free and nut free adaptable. They’re chewy and delicious and keep well out of the fridge as well as in it.

Vegan gluten free buckwheat bread

If you enjoy buckwheat flour, you will love this easy buckwheat bread recipe. It makes a delicious and simple loaf that is vegan, gluten free, xanthan gum free and nut free. It also freezes well and toasts up straight from frozen.

Vegan gluten free hot cross bun loaf

I could eat this loaf forever! Think hot cross bun but in loaf form, it is absolute heaven with some butter slathered on top. Vegan, gluten free, xanthan gum free and nut free, this is a treat everyone will love.

Vegan gluten free buckwheat wraps

These buckwheat wraps can be made with regular yoghurt or plain vegan yoghurt. They’re delightfully simple to make, super flexible, and they freeze really well too. I keep a bunch in my freezer and microwave them for a quick breakfast wrap.

Vegan gluten free sausages

My pride and joy, these vegan sausages are low FODMAP, gluten and grain free and simple (but a little fussy) to make. They taste SO GOOD and they cook up just like sausages, without any weird ingredients.

Vegan no bake breakfast bars

These delicious peanut buttery breakfast bars are a recipe from my cookbook, Intolerance Friendly Kitchen. They’re a great fridge slice that can be made ahead for a quick breakfast on the go. They are low FODMAP and, of course, vegan.

100% buckwheat cinnamon raisin loaf (vegan option)

This delicious cinnamon raisin loaf is made with 100% buckwheat flour and uses yoghurt (vegan or regular) for a plush, delicious crumb. It is a recipe in my second buckwheat e-book.

100% buckwheat seeded pumpkin bread

I developed this 100% buckwheat seeded pumpkin bread during the height of pumpkin season (September/October) but it’s a year round hit. It uses pumpkin puree and seeds for a delicious and gorgeous savoury bread. This is another recipe in my second buckwheat flour e-book.

Gluten free porridge

In Australia, oats aren’t considered gluten free. Wheat free, yes, but not gluten free. As such, I have developed this gluten free porridge recipe using rice flakes. Cooked the right way, you can’t tell that they’re not oats, I swear! This recipe can be made with regular or vegan dairy.

Gluten free overnight oats

Where there is porridge, there must also be overnight oats. This recipe is another one that uses rice flakes for gluten free overnight oats. Again, you can use regular dairy or vegan dairy.

Gluten free banana pancakes

Who doesn’t love banana pancakes? This recipe is gluten free, xanthan gum free and egg free. If you use vegan milk, they are 100% vegan, too.

Vegan gluten free cinnamon rolls without yeast

I suppose that cinnamon rolls are more of a festive season breakfast, but I’m not here to judge either way. Interestingly, my gluten free cinnamon roll recipe without yeast is my most popular, which works out nicely here.

Vegan gluten free protein pancakes

This recipe was developed specifically for vegan protein powder. A lot of recipes online say ‘use any protein you like’ but I have always found that to be misleading. Proteins all have different absorbencies and properties, so they need individual recipes.

And yes, the same goes for mug cakes! It took me around 20 attempts to nail this recipe down. I have tested a number of vegan protein powders so you can see how you preferred protein will work.
