Gluten-free 'white bread' sourdough recipe from www.georgeats.com
Gluten-free ‘white bread’ sourdough (FODMAP friendly, vegan)

Aaaand we’re back on the gluten free sourdough train. A train, might I add, that I have never gotten off. I am totally and utterly obsessed with the world of gluten free sourdough bread right now. I have been baking around the clock, learning the ins and outs of sourdough. After sharing my original recipe for…

Gluten-free sourdough bread recipe (FODMAP friendly)
All, Baking, FODMAP friendly, Gluten free, How To, Recipes, Vegan

A Gluten-free sourdough bread recipe has been a long time coming. Last year I published my gluten free sourdough starter guide, after years of experimentation. Now I’m publishing my recipe for gluten free sourdough bread itself. The process, as you’ll discover, is ever evolving, which is partly why I’ve held off posting a recipe for…

Vegan labne with roasted capsicums and Aleppo chilli oil (FODMAP friendly)
All, FODMAP friendly, Gluten free, Grain free, Main, Recipes, Vegan, Vegetarian

I have officially become a labne fiend after last week’s foray into labne making. Who knew that the elegant, delicious delicacy they sell for $100 at the shops is a cinch to make? For the cost of a tub of yoghurt, no less? I, for one, did not. Now that I do, however, I’m on…

Crispy Kipfler potatoes
All, FODMAP friendly, Gluten free, Grain free, How To, Main, Recipes, Vegan, Vegetarian

After my vegan Caesar salad dressing photo last week, I was inundated with requests for a recipe. A recipe for those crispy Kipfler potatoes. This got me thinking: while I have shared my tips for crispy chips, my method for crispy potatoes in general remains undiscussed. Friends, I will take any excuse to chat about potatoes.…

Vegan Caesar salad dressing (that’s also FODMAP friendly)
FODMAP friendly, Gluten free, Grain free, Posts, Recipes, Vegan

Last week I posted a recipe for a vegetarian Caesar salad with salt and pepper tofu ‘croutons.’ Given that the original recipe is easily made vegan, a vegan Caesar salad dressing recipe was the logical next step. So, here we are. This vegan Caesar salad dressing recipe uses pre-made vegan mayonnaise as it’s base. Because…

You may have noticed that last night I launched the bushfire relief recipe e-book. A soft launch, due in no small part to my lack of confidence in my own technological skills. So tonight, as I launch it properly, I wanted to give you a bit of sneak peek. My childhood was spent near bushland, meaning…

My favourite potato recipes I’ve written (just in time for Christmas)
FODMAP friendly, Main, Recipes, Uncategorized, Vegan, Vegetarian

Hello and welcome to this post, ‘all the potato recipes I’ve written in one convenient space.’ While writing up the potato recipes I had planned for Christmas, I became stuck on which recipe to post. That’s when it hit me – why choose? Why limit the power of the potato? So today I’m sharing a…

Vegan 'nutella' truffles that are FODMAP friendly and ridiculously easy to make. Recipe from www.georgeats.com | @georgeats
Vegan salted ‘nutella’ truffles (gluten free, FODMAP friendly)
Dessert, FODMAP friendly, Gluten free, Grain free, Recipes, Vegan

Vegan salted ‘nutella’ truffles. Yes. What started as cream-laden, mezcal and smoked salt truffles has quickly morphed. Morphed into a truffle that’s definitely better than my original. Obviously I plan to share the original variety too, but my zest for this version is unrivalled. I’ve dropped about 4 deadlines in order to press publish on…

Getting through moving house with a little help fr Getting through moving house with a little help from my friends (crispy potatoes). I used the crispy kipfler method from my site (which is linked) but with sebago spuds and some awkwardly positioned rosemary (cousin of dangly basil)
One of the 3 times in my adult life that I wished One of the 3 times in my adult life that I wished I’d taken the time to iron something. This is the gluten free lemon drizzle cake from my website - it uses only one flour (not a blend) no xanthan gum, and is being posted in lieu of what I attempted to shoot today which did not look half this nice, irrespective of ironing. Recipe is linked!
The leaning tower of me consistently adding a punn The leaning tower of me consistently adding a punnet more blueberries than my own recipe calls for. On the topic of these vegan, gluten free blueberry muffins, I’ve learned that you can: use regular dairy yoghurt and butter if you don’t need them to be vegan, use panela/rapadura sugar if that’s your thing, chop and change (use vegan butter but regular yoghurt and vice versa) or use oil instead of butter. My number one personal trick for making buttercrea My number one personal trick for making buttercream look good on a cake is to buy a lot of berries and move on with your life. This is a gluten free chocolate cake recipe uses only one flour, no blends, no xanthan gum, no nuts, and can easily be made dairy free. If dairy is your thing though, I highly recommend you make the chocolate brown butter buttercream to go with it. Recipe is linked!

Radicchio salad with honey cinnamon walnuts, blue cheese, roasted pumpkin and a punchy vinaigrette. Recipe is linked in my bio.
