Vegan gluten-free Graham crackers (FODMAP friendly)
Baking, Dessert, FODMAP friendly, Gluten free, Recipes, Snacks, Vegan

Did you see my recent Instagram stories pertaining to gluten free graham crackers? To the subsequent gluten free Hedgehog Slice? Well today we’re back on the topic with these vegan, gluten-free Graham crackers. After the success of the non-vegan gluten free graham cracker recipe, I thought it was only fair. There are so many applications for…

Gluten-free classic blueberry muffins (FODMAP friendly)
Baking, Dessert, Gluten free, Recipes

If you asked me to choose the muffin variety I’d eat forever, it would be the blueberry muffin. There’s something about the flavour of a vanilla based batter infused with gooey blueberries that really speaks to me. Needless to say, gluten-free classic blueberry muffins have been sorely missing from my recipe collection thus far. Today…

Just like with the gluten free sourdough, I was planning to save this gluten free Hedgehog Slice recipe for a new cookbook and/or a rainy day. If you reside in Melbourne metro, you’ll know: it’s a rainy day. What do we do on a rainy day? We bake!  I suspect that Hedgehog Slice is a…

Gluten free Graham crackers (dairy free option)

I am SO excited about today’s recipe for gluten free Graham crackers! While I was making my gluten free sourdough recently, I had a cracker epiphany. It struck me that toasted quinoa flour and rice flour smelt strikingly similar to a digestive biscuit. Digestive biscuits are essentially a less sweet, more ambiguous and plainer version…

Gluten free small-batch brownies (FODMAP friendly)
Baking, Dessert, Gluten free, Grain free, Recipes

After the gluten free chocolate mug cake went wild (and as I continue my quest for the secret to crinkly brownies) a small batch brownie seemed inevitable. Gluten free small-batch brownies that are easy, quick and perfect for two. Let me confess, though: this recipe is essentially a small-batch version of my best-ever gluten free…

Refined-sugar-free chocolate mug-cake (gluten free, vegan)
Baking, Baking, Dessert, FODMAP friendly, Gluten free, Recipes, Vegan

When I published the gluten free, vegan mug cake recipe recently, I had no idea that it would be so popular. I assumed that everyone thought mug cakes were a bit passé (as I did) – but I was wrong! People have gone nuts for it, which is why today’s recipe is a refined-sugar-free chocolate…

FODMAP friendly lemony kale, feta, roasted pumpkin and potato frittata. Super flavourful and endlessly customisable. Recipe from www.georgeats.com
FODMAP friendly frittata with lemony kale, pumpkin and feta
FODMAP friendly, Gluten free, Grain free, Main, Recipes, Vegetarian

I don’t talk about it too often on my socials, but I eat a fair bit of basic food. The reality of living with an unsolved and somewhat undiagnosed digestive illness is that bland food is my friend. No disrespect to frittata, but I count it in my basic food group. There’s nothing offensively flavourful…

Gluten-free chocolate mug cake (that’s incidentally vegan)
Baking, Baking, Dessert, FODMAP friendly, Gluten free, Recipes, Vegan

It’s hard to imagine having too much chocolate cake in the house. Yet this is something I experienced firsthand while developing my gluten free chocolate cake recipe recently. Along with my gluten free sourdough brownie recipe. Along with every other recipe I have ever made. There’s something incredibly practical about a single serve recipe that…

One of the 3 times in my adult life that I wished One of the 3 times in my adult life that I wished I’d taken the time to iron something. This is the gluten free lemon drizzle cake from my website - it uses only one flour (not a blend) no xanthan gum, and is being posted in lieu of what I attempted to shoot today which did not look half this nice, irrespective of ironing. Recipe is linked!
The leaning tower of me consistently adding a punn The leaning tower of me consistently adding a punnet more blueberries than my own recipe calls for. On the topic of these vegan, gluten free blueberry muffins, I’ve learned that you can: use regular dairy yoghurt and butter if you don’t need them to be vegan, use panela/rapadura sugar if that’s your thing, chop and change (use vegan butter but regular yoghurt and vice versa) or use oil instead of butter. Recipe is linked!

My number one personal trick for making buttercrea My number one personal trick for making buttercream look good on a cake is to buy a lot of berries and move on with your life. This is a gluten free chocolate cake recipe uses only one flour, no blends, no xanthan gum, no nuts, and can easily be made dairy free. If dairy is your thing though, I highly recommend you make the chocolate brown butter buttercream to go with it. Recipe is linked!

Radicchio salad with honey cinnamon walnuts, blue cheese, roasted pumpkin and a punchy vinaigrette. Recipe is linked in my bio.
